Adidas is Releasing Avengers Inspired Shoes (Because That's a Thing We Needed)

This summer, Adidas, will release a limited edition line of shoes based on Marvel’s Avengers, in an attempt to cash in on the wild popularity of the property.  Businesses exist to make money, so this isn’t a bad idea, it just seems a little excessive.  On the other hand, I’m sure some people out there will love them, and if so, they absolutely should wear these shoes with pride.

This “line” of shoes is really only four pairs of shoes, and I’m not sure what constitutes a “line” or “collection” or “edition”, but I guess since these shoes share the same theme, it applies.  The four characters represented in this release are:  Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, and Thor.  Thankfully Hawkeye doesn’t have a pair based on him (because Hawkeye sucks, that’s why), and Black Widow is left out once again.

If you’re a diehard Avengers fan, this is pretty cool.  I like the Avengers.  A lot.  I won’t be buying these, but that’s also because I have plenty of shoes and these cost $125, which is more than I’m willing to spend on a novelty, because I don’t have Tony Stark’s money.

The shoes should be available on the Adidas website soon, so in the meantime everyone will just have to get by with their boring non-Avengers footwear.
