Black Lightning is coming to the CW, but who is he?

You know what?  I’m gonna say it, I’m getting a little burnt out on CW Superhero shows.  Arrow’s been great this season, Flash lost some steam, and I just find myself bored with Supergirl and Legend’s of Tomorrow.  So much in fact, I recently decided to cut back in favor of checking out some new shows, (I still haven’t started Legion).  Low and behold there’s yet another superhero coming to the CW neighborhood, this time it’s Black Lightning.  I’ll admit, I’m intrigued to learn about a new character, but I just don’t know if I want to invest the time in something in the same vein.  What do you think? Are you excited for Black Lightning to join the Berlanti-Verse? Or are you getting a little burnt out?

The CW currently has no shortage of superhero dramas, but there may still be room for “justice like lightning.” A pilot episode for Black Lightning is currently in production and the potential series is in contention for a slot on The CW’s new schedule.
